Ryman - Fuiten Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship description
Ryman - Fuiten Post 447 of the American Legion, the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 447, and the Sons of the American Legion (SAL) Squadron 447 will jointly award a $500 scholarship to a Mt. Pulaski High School graduating Senior. The intent of this scholarship is to aid a student who wishes to further his/her education at a four-year college, junior college, or vocational/professional institution.
Eligibility RequirementsAn eligible applicant must: 1) be a member of Mt. Pulaski High School's current graduating class 2) have a 3.0 or higher Grade Point Average 3) have a parent, guardian, or grandparent who is/was a United States Veteran or who is currently serving in the US Armed Forces Application Procedure1) Obtain an application form from the Guidance Counselor 2) Complete the application, attach a copy of High School Transcript, and return it to the Guidance Counselor no later than Friday, April 20, 2012 3) (Optional) Attach a letter of recommendation Selection Process1) A panel, composed of representatives from the Legion, Auxiliary, and SAL will review all application packages and select a recipient 2) The winner will be notified, and the scholarship will be awarded at Honors Night in May Special Note: If the scholarship recipient does not attend an institution as outlined in the scholarship description above, he/she must reimburse the scholarship fund. The scholarship committee will review the circumstances and set a time schedule for the repayment. The committee will also determine whether the situation warrants selection of an alternate recipient.
