Photographers
and reporters watch as state and federal
banking officials enter the Broadway Bank in
Chicago on Friday and take control of the
bank owned by the family of Illinois
Treasurer Alexi Giannoulias, a candidate for
U.S. Senate. Giannoulias was a senior loan
officer at the bank for four years before he
ran for treasurer, and questionable loans
made to convicted felons during his tenure
have dogged him in his quest for Obama's old
Senate seat.
