ILCS
5126-l(a)(3)
a Class 3
Felony. Springer was arrested on
Saturday, November 3, 2007, bond set at
$30,000.00. The bond set for Reebel and
Knowles is also $30,000.00.

A fifteen
year old juvenile had knowledge of the
incident and David Rands, State’s
Attorney Appellate Prosecutor’s Office
(618/392-0000) will review the reports
and determine if any charges will be
made against the juvenile.
The
investigation has revealed that the
students involved planned and carried
out the act, after arriving at school
November 1, 2007, as a means to get out
of school.
This is a
very unfortunate incident that put the
student body, staff, parents, and
community into a state of turmoil. The
investigation was diligently pursued
over the weekend and culminated today
with arrests by the Lincoln Police
Department. The Lincoln Police
Department appreciates the assistance
from the Logan County
State’s
Attorneys Office, Illinois
Secretary of State Bomb Squad, Illinois
State Police Agents, and Agents from the
Federal Bureau of Investigation. The
administration at LCHS were instrumental
in their assistance. Their School Safety
(CODE BLUE) Plan was implemented and
worked flawlessly.
