Illinois Department of Corrections Lt. David L. Kavanaugh of
Decatur waived a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty
Tuesday to charges alleging he threatened to stab a jailer with
an ink pen.

this spring when he opened his new coffee and ice cream shop,
"Brew Unto Others," at 128 S. Tonica St. in Mason
City.
