2010 Annual Mt. Pulaski Memorial Day
Mt. Pulaski Cemetery Services, Vonderleith Living Center Veterans' Visit, and
Steenbergen Cemetery Services were once again very well-attended events!

Donations are being sought to repair, up-date, correct:

the old Mt. Pulaski High School Military
Servicemen Honor Roll Board
[Names of all students who have attended Mt. Pulaski
High School & served in the Armed Forces during WWII]

Donations will also be applied to additional boards to be constructed for
WWI, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans

BEFORE & AFTER LOOK Scores of Mt. Pulaski Memorial Day attendees used this tree for relief from the hot sun during Memorial Day Services at the Mt. Pulaski Cemetery - this portion of this large tree fell during a thunderstorm on Tuesday evening - deterioration not lightening appears to be the culprit.	2010 Mt. Pulaski American Legion Post 447 Scholarship Winner: Erich Maxheimer with grandfather veteran Earl and parents Suzie and Mike Maxheimer	One of many gravesites in the Mt. Pulaski Cemetery revealing hardships brought on by war - this one during WWI - of Mt. Pulaski's Floyd Eugene Scroggin, born in 1895 - killed in action during the Battle of the Argonne Forest (a long strip of rocky mountain & wild woodland in north-eastern France) in the service of his country on Oct. 23, 1918.
