Easter Sunrise Service at Arlington National Cemetery

The U.S. Army Military District of Washington hosted its annual Easter Sunrise Service at 6:30 a.m. on April 11th, 2004, in the Memorial Amphitheater at Arlington National Cemetery. 

The United States Marine Band, "The President's Own" played a prelude concert at 6:15 a.m.

The free, nondenominational worship service serves as a spiritual celebration of life. 

Chaplain (Major General) Lorraine K. Potter, U.S. Air Force Chief of the Chaplain Service, delivered the sermon.  

The service was signed for the deaf by Mrs. Peggy Spinello.
