MOUNT PULASKI -- Clara W. Voorhees, 89, of Mount Pulaski died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2005, at 12:40 p.m. at Vonderlieth Living Center.

Services will be in New Jersey, with burial in Greenwich Cemetery, Stewartsville, N.J.

Local arrangements were handled by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski.

Mrs. Voorhees was a retired elementary teacher.

She was born Feb. 22, 1916, in West New York, N.J., to Frederick and Anna Biermann Wiebe. She married Arthur Voorhees in Greenwich Township, N.J., on March 23, 1940. He died March 30, 1999.

She is survived by one son, William H. (and Georgene) Voorhees of Maroa; one daughter, Susan (and Jay) Rutan of Easton, Pa.; one brother, William (and Ann) Wiebe of Panama City, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Robert Voorhees.

She was a member of the Warrensburg United Methodist Church.

She graduated from Caldwell High School in Caldwell, N.J., and Trenton State in Trenton, N.J.
