MOUNT PULASKI -- Emagene L. Weckel, 88, of Mount Pulaski died Thursday, Nov. 10, 2005, at 8:24 p.m. at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

Visitation will be from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski. Her funeral will follow at 3:30 p.m., with the Rev. Frank Pieper officiating.

Burial will be in Steenbergen Cemetery.

Mrs. Weckel had worked in the licensing department for the secretary of state.

She was born Aug. 27, 1917, at Mount Pulaski to Carl Cecil and Grave Evelyn Smith Buckles. She married Eugene M. Weckel in Joplin, Mo., on Aug. 29, 1940. He died Feb. 9, 1990.

She is survived by two daughters, Ann (and Ron) Leesman of Mount Pulaski and Pamela (and John) Kelly of Baton Rouge, La.; two grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one brother and one grandson.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Mount Pulaski and American Legion Auxiliary 447.

Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
