Mildred Beaver

[August 02, 2010] LINCOLN -- Mildred M. Beaver, 98, of Lincoln, died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2010, at 9:05 a.m. at St. Clara's Manor.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Wallace Reifsteck and Eric Jackson officiating.

Burial will be in Lucas Chapel Cemetery, Lincoln.

Mrs. Beaver was a homemaker.

She was born May 2, 1912, in New Holland. Her parents were Harry and Anna Hinck Blaum. She married Paul J. Beaver Sr. on Nov. 8, 1934, at Loami. He preceded her in death on Nov. 7, 1982.

She is survived by two sons, Paul J. (and Sue) Beaver Jr. of Lincoln and John R. (and Kathleen) Beaver of Lincoln; one daughter, Judith (and David) Coogan of Lincoln; one brother, Merle (and Dorothy) Blaum of New Holland; one sister, Lenora "Sis" Tibbs of Lincoln; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by four brothers and by one daughter in infancy.

She was a member of New Holland United Methodist Church and a charter member of the Lucas Chapel Women's Club.

Memorials may be made to the Logan County Food Pantry or Logan County 4-H Foundation.
