MOUNT
PULASKI -- Doris Diez, 83, of Mount Pulaski,
died Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010, at 5:37 p.m. at
Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount
Pulaski, with the Rev. Vaughn Beeman
officiating. Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. at the
funeral home. |

Burial will be in Mount Pulaski Cemetery.
Mrs. Diez retired from Lehn & Fink in Lincoln
after 27 years.
She was born Feb. 25, 1926, in Mount Pulaski
to Louis and Flossie Mae Jones Moore. She
married Oliver L. Diez in Lincoln on Nov. 2,
1945. He preceded her in death on Nov. 11, 2001.
She is survived by one sister, Betty Swick of
Wilmington; a sister-in-law, Gladys Moore of
Mount Pulaski; and by loving nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by three
brothers, Albert Moore, Louis Moore and Harold
Moore; and five sisters, Louise Bowles, Pauline
Huston, Colleen Wilcockson, Geraldine Schroth
and Kay Kinnett.
She was a member of the First Christian
Church of Mount Pulaski and the Mount Pulaski
Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. |
Doris loved gardening and her flowers.
Memorials may be made to the First Christian
Church of Mount Pulaski or the activities
department at Vonderlieth.
