Erma Phillips

[May 18, 2010] MOUNT PULASKI -- Erma M. Phillips, 88, of Mount Pulaski, died Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at 2:40 a.m. at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski, with Bill Shanle officiating. Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Steenbergen Cemetery, Mount Pulaski.

Mrs. Phillips was a homemaker.

She was born Oct. 22, 1921, in Mount Pulaski. Her parents were Elbertie M. and Violet Mockbee Ayers. She married Walter Earl Phillips on Nov. 26, 1938, in Bowling Green, Mo.

She is survived by her husband, W. Earl Phillips of Mount Pulaski; two sons, Larry Lee (and Sue) Phillips of Escondido, Calif., and Dan (and Betty) Phillips of Mount Pulaski; one daughter, Mary Ann (and Thomas) Trago of Mount Pulaski; and one brother, Herbert Ayers of Arminta, Calif.

She was preceded in death by one son, Billie Phillips; one brother, Elbert; and one sister, Mary Herrin.

She was a member of Buffalo Christian Church, and memorials may be made to the church.
