MOUNT
PULASKI -- Thomas Eugene "Tommy" Polk III, 35,
of Mount Pulaski, died Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010,
at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday
at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount
Pulaski, with the Rev. Glenn Stroschein
officiating. Prior to the service, there will be
visitation beginning at 9 a.m. at the funeral
home. |

Mr. Polk was a carpenter and also assisted his
father in the real estate business.
He was born Oct. 20, 1974, in Springfield,
the son of Thomas E. Jr. and Marjorie Goodman
Polk. He married Angela Davis in Elkhart in
1994. They were divorced.
He is survived by his daughter, Ashley Polk
of Beason; his parents, of Mount Pulaski; his
sister, Christina Polk of Mount Pulaski; his
paternal grandfather, Thomas E. Polk Sr. of
Mount Pulaski; one nephew, Austin Waldrop of
Mount Pulaski; and one niece, Olivia Waldrop of
Mount Pulaski.
He was preceded in death by his paternal
grandmother, Olivia Polk, and his maternal
grandparents, Carl and Olive Goodman.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of
Mount Pulaski. |
Tommy was a graduate of Mount Pulaski High
School.
