Winfred Allsopp Jr. Send a link to a friend Archived June 27, 2005 MOUNT PULASKI -- Winfred Allsopp, 80, of Mount Pulaski died Friday, June 24, 2005, at 1:37 p.m. at St. John's Hospital in Springfield. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski. His funeral will follow at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Julie Azbell officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pulaski Cemetery at a later date. Mr. Allsopp was a crane operator for Allsopp Sand and Gravel. He was born Oct. 5, 1924, at Chestnut to Winfred and Marie Combs Allsopp Sr. He married Jennie Green in Lincoln on Jan. 1, 1946. He is survived by his wife, of Mount Pulaski; two sons, James Allsopp of Lincoln and William (and Carla) Allsopp of Escondido, Calif.; two daughters, Connie Logan of Lincoln and Peggy (and Dennis) Miller of Howard, Pa.; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Irma Harness of Chillicothe, Elsie Bell of Springfield and Sylvia (and Jim) Dorsey of Macon, Ga. He was preceded in death by one son, Terry Allsopp, and one grandson. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mount Pulaski.
