MOUNT PULASKI -- Marilyn S. Beggs, 51, of Mount Pulaski died Sunday, May 22, 2005, at 5:25 p.m. at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski.

Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the First Christian Church of Mount Pulaski, with Jeremy "J.T." Thomason officiating.

Burial will be in Mount Pulaski.

Mrs. Beggs was a homemaker and enjoyed working with crafts.

She was born Jan. 20, 1954, in Macon County to Sheldon and Norma Green Goodman. She married Dennis Beggs in Springfield on March 4, 1969.

She is survived by her husband, of Mount Pulaski; two sons, Brad Beggs of Mount Pulaski and Doug (and Tiffany) Beggs of Lincoln; her mother, Norma Goodman of Mount Pulaski; two brothers, Leon Goodman of Denver, Colo., and Richard (and Sally) Goodman of Taylorville; two sisters, Loretta (and Ron) Merold of Mount Pulaski and Jane (and Pat) McDonnough of Mount Pulaski; and one grandson, Justin Beggs.

She was preceded in death by her father and an infant daughter, Denise.

She was a member of the Mount Pulaski Christian Church.

Memorials may be made to her church or to the American Cancer Society.
