Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Mount Pulaski, with 7 p.m. rosary. Burial: Mount Pulaski Cemetery. Memorials: St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Brother James Court in Riverton or Vonderlieth Living Center Activity Fund. Member: Tomlinson Trust Board of Trustees and VFW Auxiliary 777. Survivors: son, Edward McVey, Morris; daughters, Mary Eileen McVey and Janet McVey, both of Charlotte, N.C.; Patricia Schaffenacker, Mount Pulaski; brothers, Paul Cerar, Sherman; Henry Cerar, Texarkana, Texas; Bernie Cerar, Monmouth; George Cerar, Athens; sisters, Doris Staples and Barbara Kiel, both of Taylorville; June Strutz, Girard; Claudette Krupnick, New York; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
