SPRINGFIELD — A statewide advocacy group for the disabled
filed a federal class-action lawsuit Thursday against the state
for placing developmentally disabled residents in nursing homes
instead of community settings, claiming the practice violates
the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Less than three weeks after a 42-year-old Lincoln man was
released from prison after serving a prison term for possession
of a stolen vehicle, Lincoln police arrested him Thursday
alleging he stole two vehicles overnight Tuesday.
