Veterans
were remembered in Mount Pulaski.
The Mount Pulaski
Scroggin-Gee VFW Post 777 conducted its 25th annual
distribution of Christmas gifts to U.S. armed forces
veterans -- 16 this year -- in the Mount Pulaski
Vonderlieth Living Center and adjoining Vonderlieth
condos. Pictured here is Louise Voelker, former Unit
777 Auxiliary president for many years, and Roger
Bates, Post 777 commander, with U.S. Navy WWII
veteran Lt. Emmett Shellhammer. Like all of the
veterans, Shellhammer has interesting
stories to tell of his experiences. And thanks to
the Mount Pulaski post, his service was not
forgotten this Christmas season.

This

Kuntsler, shows "Washington's Crossing: McKonkey's
Ferry, Dec. 26, 1776." On Monday, the New York
Historical Society unveiled the more historically
accurate version of George Washington's 1776
Christmas crossing, showing his troops in the dead
of night during a snowstorm, and without the
stars-and-stripes flag, which hadn't been adopted
yet.
Watch your baby's cues.
If your baby starts to
seem over-stimulated, it
may be time to sneak off
to a quiet room for some
one-on-one time for the
two of you. Some babies
are sensitive to too
much activity, so if
baby seems to need
time…enjoy that little
break together.
