17 April., 2015 NewHeraldNews:  Mt. Pulaski observed the 150th anniversary of President Abraham Lincoln’s death with a program held at the historic courthouse on the square. In honor of the occasion, the courthouse windows were solemnly decorated with traditional black crepe and evergreens with white ribbons on the lower windows and doors.
"On the 150th anniversary of the Great Emancipator’s assassination, Americans along the route of his funeral train reflect on his life and legacy."
